1 Conference Pass includes educational seminars, admission to exhibit hall, receptions, and meals. Golf event is not included with any registration. Golf must be registered for and paid for separately.
2 Captive insurance companies from any domicile attending the VCIA conference for the first time. Limit is two representatives per company at this special rate, for the first year the company attends. Individuals or companies providing services to a captive do not qualify for this rate.*
3 Networking Pass includes admission to everything except educational seminars and roundtables. Networking pass holders may attend the general session and, if they are members, the annual meeting. All attendees must complete a Registration Form.
Note: Conference registration of any type does not include golf registration, hotel accommodations, or travel expenses.
*Who is eligible for the $250 First Time Captive Company rate? Risk Retention, Agency Captives and Single-Owner (Pure) Captive insurance companies from any domicile attending the VCIA conference for the first time. Limit two representatives per company at this special rate for the first time the company attends only. First time rate will not apply to more than one year. Individuals or companies providing service to a captive do not qualify for this rate. Subject to final approval by VCIA President.
Continuing Professional Education Credit and Continuing Legal Education Credit:
Persons attending VCIA Annual Conference seminars will be eligible for CPE and CLE credit hours provided by the Vermont Captive Insurance Association. Attendees will be required to sign in at seminars to be eligible for credit. After the conference, CPE and CLE certificates will be mailed to those eligible for credit by VCIA. One hour sessions = 1 CPE credit. One hour 45 minute to two hour sessions = 2 CPE credits. The majority of seminars are also eligible for ICCIE credits. Check seminar descriptions for details.
Regarding agent and broker licensing CE credits, you are welcome to submit VCIA's seminars to your state board for consideration. However, VCIA has not received prior approval for granting credits.

Continuing Legal Education:
VCIA currently holds the status of Continuing Legal Education accredited sponsor in Vermont. Seminars held during the VCIA event are approved by the Vermont Board of Mandatory Continuing Legal Education.
Seminar Handouts: Conference attendees will receive a hyperlink to the conference handouts in advance of the conference, enabling a download of the materials. Handouts will also be available through the VCIA Conference App. There will be no paper handouts.

The entire conference, including receptions, is "business casual."
Golf Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations will not be refunded, but substitutions are accepted.
Conference Registration Cancellation Policy:
Registration fees are refundable when VCIA receives written notice of cancellation on or before July 13, 2017. There is a $100 administrative fee for all refunds. After July 14, 2017, no cancellations will be refunded, but substitutions are accepted. Cancellation requests must be received in writing either by mail, e-mail, or fax.
Conference Cancellation Policy:
VCIA is not responsible for any loss or damage as a result of a substitution, alteration, postponement or cancellation of an event. VCIA shall assume no liability whatsoever in the event this conference is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to a fortuitous event, act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labor strike, extreme weather or other emergency.
Seminar Modification Policy:
VCIA reserves the right to substitute, alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics without any recourse or liability whatsoever. Any substitutions, alterations or modifications will be updated on our web page as soon as possible.
Exhibitor Cancellation Fee:
For exhibit cancellations received more than 60 days prior to the conference, VCIA maintains a cancellation penalty of 50% of the exhibit fee. If the cancellation is received less than 60 days from the first day of the conference, no refund will be issued. Cancellation requests must be received in writing either by mail, e-mail, or fax.
Sponsorship Cancellation Policy:
Conference sponsorship cancellations made more than 90 days prior to the conference will be refunded without penalty. If the cancellation is received less than 90 days from the first day of the conference, no refunds will be issued. Cancellation requests must be received in writing either by mail, e-mail, or fax.
If you attend the VCIA 2017 Conference with a Conference Pass and don't gain useful knowledge from the educational sessions that you attend, simply let us know in writing by noon on Thursday, August 11th and we will refund your money. (Refund applies to Conference Pass fee only. Offer does not apply to complaints arising from technical issues, schedule or presenter changes. Written requests must be submitted at the VCIA Conference registration desk. Refund check will be mailed by 8.31.17)
