One we're excited to debut will be at the upcoming spring member mixer, when VCIA launches its captive AI expert, which we’ll dub Monty. This AI expert has been trained on troves of captive insurance content and VCIA material. That means it can support you as you do captive research and problem solving, and it can also help as a customer service arm for VCIA. To capture the broad scope of VCIA’s transformative strategic plan, let me outline the initiatives we have either completed, are undertaking, or are considering.
- New dynamic VCIA brand, Captive Excellence Starts Here.
- New dynamic VCIA website, featuring a new captive media library and other resource pages.
- Increasing membership value by including webinars and Think Tanks in your membership dues. We instituted this policy for the May webinar and it’s already paying dividends as over 100 people have registered!
- Launching a captive federal advocacy “Hill Day” that we will repeat in 2026 and beyond.
- Providing more opportunities for peer-to-peer member engagement throughout the year—VCIA just hosted its RIMS Mixer which was a hit. See pictures below!
- Forthcoming: an online, interactive forum exclusive for VCIA members to share captive ideas, problem solve and connect.
- Forthcoming: a dedicated member portal where all exclusive content for VCIA members is available at the click of the button.
All these endeavors result from combing through last year’s extensive listening report which detailed the member themes that matter most for you—captive advocacy leadership, world-class and year-round captive education, and a productive and engaged captive community.
